White sand beaches, turquoise seas, and warm waters of Aruba

Aruba is a wonderful place for vacation. There are flights to Aruba from many cities in the United States and Europe. You can fly from major US cities, including New York, Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles. And there are also daily direct flights from major European cities like Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Paris (France) and London (England). From the major airport on Aruba called Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) you can rent a car in Aruba and explore the whole country as you wish.

Queen Beatrix International Airport
is larger than its counterpart, but both offer convenient transportation options for getting around once you reach your destination.

The beaches are pristine, the water is crystal clear and warm, and the people are friendly. There's plenty of things to do besides just laying out on the beach all day long! Here are some of my favorite places to visit while in Aruba:

Oranjestad

Oranjestad is the capital of Aruba and is located on the south shore of the island. It's also the largest settlement on Aruba, with a population of about 25,000. Oranjestad is a gateway for tourism and has various hotels, casinos, shops and restaurants--including many that are open 24 hours per day! Additionally it has a major cruise ship port that welcomes over 1 million tourists annually.

There are many historical landmarks in Oranjestad including:

  • Fort Zoutman (a fort built in 1796),
  • Fort Amsterdam (built by Dutch settlers),
  • Casibari Rock Formation which contains caves formed by erosion from water wearing away at limestone rock over time;
  • Christoffel Park - an outdoor park containing various sculptures such as "Christus Rex" by Jan Hendrikx;
  • Jubilee Tower ("Jubilee" meaning 50th anniversary) which commemorates Queen Juliana's coronation as queen on February 7th 1952;
  • Emperors' Walkway where seven bronze statues depict past rulers when they visited this island during their reigns;
  • Coastal Hiking Trail where you can see different types plants including cactus trees called "papayo";
  • Casa Buena Museum which showcases furniture pieces made out stones found only here plus other items used during slavery days like whips etc...

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is a town on the south coast of Aruba. It is the main shopping and business district and has many restaurants as well as bars. Santa Cruz also has a large marina that attracts tourists, who want to see all types of boats or take one out for a ride around Aruba's waters.

The historic church in Santa Cruz has an impressive bell tower which can be seen from far away by those traveling along highways 1A or 2B through this area of Aruba's coastline. This landmark was built in 1658 by Dutch settlers who were searching for gold but instead found something else: sand! You'll find plenty of beaches here too - enjoy some time relaxing on them while you're here!

There are quite a few hotels in Santa Cruz, which makes it a good place to stay if you're looking for somewhere affordable and convenient. It's also close to other parts of the island, so it's easy to get around.

San Nicolaas

San Nicolaas is a small town on the southern part of Aruba. It has a small port and is known for its fishing industry, which makes up most of its economy. The main attraction in San Nicolaas is the beach, which isn't very spectacular, but it does have restaurants and bars close by if you want to enjoy some food or drinks after swimming.

The people here are very friendly, so you don't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable while visiting this area! There aren't many tourists who visit San Nicolaas either--it's best if you want peace and quiet during your vacation! You can easily find cheap food at one of the local restaurants or grocery stores too!

San Nicolaas has a few beaches nearby, including one called Playa Kalki. It's located in the southern part of Aruba and is known for its black sand beaches and shallow waters. This beach is perfect if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet during your vacation!

Savaneta

Savaneta is a small village on the northern coast of Aruba. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, thanks to its beautiful white sand beach and boardwalk. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in Savaneta as well as Fort Zoutman which was built by Dutch colonists in 1629 and is now home to a museum dedicated to Aruba's history.

Savanneta has become increasingly popular with tourists over recent years due to its casinos and shopping malls nearby offering everything from designer clothes to jewelry stores selling diamonds at affordable prices. In addition to its beaches and shopping, Savanneta is also a good place to go scuba diving. The island’s coral reef is home to many types of fish and other sea life.

Paradera

Paradera is a small village in the north of Aruba. This area is known for its beautiful beaches and friendly locals. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, as well as some great hotels too. If you're looking for somewhere to sunbathe or swim, this is also a good place to do it!

There are two main beaches here: Rodger's Beach and Druif Beach; both offer excellent snorkeling opportunities if you want to take part in water sports or rent a boat while visiting Paradera.

The north of Aruba is a great place to visit if you're looking for somewhere quieter, but still want to be close to the main tourist areas. Paradera is a nice little town with plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as some beautiful beaches nearby. If you want to see more of the island without traveling far from Oranjestad or Palm Beach this is a good choice!

Aruba is a great place to go on vacation

It's an island in the Caribbean Sea, located off the coast of Venezuela. There are many things to do there, including:

  • Beaches - Aruba has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! You can swim in warm waters and relax on white sand beaches all day long.
  • Snorkeling - The water around Aruba is filled with colorful fish that you can see up close while snorkeling with them!
  • Diving - If you like diving deep into oceans or lakes, this might be something for you! You'll have amazing views when swimming through caves under waterfalls or exploring shipwrecks at sea floor depths of over 100 feet (30 meters).
  • Sunbathing - Arubans love lying out in their backyard hammocks soaking up rays from overhead sunbeams shining through palm trees overhead while listening closely so no one steals any fresh fruit off their trees during nap times.

We hope you enjoy your trip to Aruba. It's a beautiful island with so much to see and do!
