Copenhagen

Northern Europe is becoming more and more popular as a center of classical tourism with sightseeing and getting to know the culture of the host country. As you know, the countries of Europe are rich in both the first and second. In addition to a climate suitable for classical tourism, there is something to see here. The cities of Northern Europe are rich in history and cultural heritage. And one of these cities is Copenhagen, the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark.

This is one of the most peaceful, calming capitals of Europe, at the same time, it is unsurpassed in its beauty, and indeed, Copenhagen is the cradle of prosperity, it is not for nothing that the British magazine Monocle recognized the city as the most suitable for life.

So, having arrived and begun your excursion in Copenhagen, you need to start your journey through the streets of the city from the Town Hall Square - the main one in the city, the building of the town hall itself, which is obviously located here, is decorated with a monument to the founder of the city Absalon

But, of course, this is not the main beauty of Copenhagen. Apart of the museums of Copenhagen, a majestic building that cannot be bypassed is, for example, Amalienborg Palace, which has been the residence of Danish kings since the 18th century, a building built in the rococo style is certainly an adornment of the city.

By the way, if we talk about the royal family, then in Denmark it enjoys the love and respect of citizens, and answers them the same. Suffice it to say that during the occupation of Denmark by Nazi Germany, the King of Denmark, risking his life, stood up for the Danish Jews, thereby saving the country from the Holocaust policy. But let's not delve into the past.

The main symbol of Copenhagen is the monument to the Little Mermaid; tourists from all over the world come to see it. In general, the Danish writer G. H. Andersen glorified the country all over the world with his fairy-tale characters, and the capital of Denmark is literally replete with the heroes of his books.

Strøget Street has become famous for being the longest pedestrian street in Europe. Numerous brand shops, souvenir tents, and a myriad of eateries and restaurants where you can appreciate all the advantages of local cuisine are scattered throughout its area. On Strøget, among other things, you can find the oldest department store in the city Magasine du Nord, opened back in the 17th century, and an inimitable example of the Art Nouveau architectural style - the Stork Fountain.

Of course, this is not all the beauties of the glorious city, but in order to appreciate it in all its splendor, you need to look and see it with your own eyes.
