Rich amalgam of the past and present of India

India is a land of historical and cultural diversity, which is reflected in its major cities. There are plenty of cities that offer something for everybody, from art and culture to sports and shopping. Each one has a unique history and culture that you can explore during your visit. The best way to explore India is by car rental which is available directly at the airport. For example, you book flight tickets to Indira Gandhi International Airport and right there you can book a rental car too. It gives you the freedom to go wherever and whenever you want, without having to worry about public transport or taxis. You will be able to see sights that are not easily accessible by other means of transportation, such as wildlife sanctuaries and national parks.

Agra

Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a major tourist destination because of its many monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal. The city was founded by Khilji dynasty ruler Ala-ud-din Khalji as a military colony and later became an important administrative centre. Agra Fort was built by Akbar at this time as part of his strategy to keep nobles close at hand while keeping them away from their home territories where they could plot against him; it remained an important military base until after independence when it became an armoury for storing weapons used during India's war with China in 1962.

Anjuna

Anjuna is a village in North Goa, India and is known for its beaches and as a place for trance and electronic music parties. It's also known for its flea market on Sundays when people from all over India come to this beach town to buy their wares.

Bangalore

Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka, a state in southern India. It is also known as the Garden City of India and Silicon Valley of India. The city has been referred to as "Pub City" because it has more pubs per square kilometer than any other city in the world!

Hampi

Hampi is a village in Karnataka, India. It is the location of the ruins of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. The empire was established in 1336 by Harihara I and his brother Bukka Raya I who moved their capital from nearby Belur to this then-remote location. The town soon became one of India's greatest cities with poets such as Mahakavi Kalidasa contributing greatly to its cultural development; however, it was not until 1565 when Emperor Krishna Deva Raya came into power that Hampi truly flourished as an important center for trade and commerce.

Jodhpur

Jodhpur is the second largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan and the administrative headquarters of Jodhpur District. It is also known as the "Sun City" for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all through the year. The city was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha (1459-1510 A.D.), who was a Rajput chief of Pali district near Jodhpur and united various other independent kingdoms into one state known as Marwar or Jodhpur State under himself as its first ruler.

Jodhpur lies along a plateau between two rivers - Sardar Sarovar on North & Banas on South & West side respectively; both flow from east to west direction before joining each other at Mokalsar village near Ramdevra Temple Complex in Kailashpuri tehsil whereafter it flows further westward becoming famous river name Sardar Sarovar (Sardar means Chief Commander General).

Kochi

Kochi is a city in the state of Kerala, India. It is the most populous city in Kerala, and the fifth most populous city in India. Kochi has been an international trading port since time immemorial and it was ruled by many ancient kingdoms like Cheras, Ay kingdom and Cochin kingdom who ruled from here. In fact, it was under Portuguese rule that this place became popular as "Cochin". The name 'Kochi' refers to its founder Raja Marthanda Varma who established his kingdom here after defeating King Zamorin (king of Kozhikode).

Mumbai

Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and is located on the west coast. It is also India's financial capital, as well as its largest city. Mumbai has been one of the most visited cities in Asia since 2010, receiving over 14 million international tourists annually (the highest among all cities in India). The city houses some of India's top 20 largest corporations by revenue; these include Larsen & Toubro, State Bank of India, Tata Group and Reliance Industries Limited.

New Delhi

New Delhi is the capital of India. It's a planned city, which means it was designed by people who wanted to build a new, better place for everyone to live in. New Delhi is also the largest city in India--it has more than 1 million people living there!

New Delhi is known as a union territory and national capital territory, meaning that it has special rights given to it by law because it serves as both an administrative center (for example: government offices) and cultural center (for example: museums).

It's situated on the banks of Yamuna River just north-west from Old Delhi which you might remember from earlier on this trip was another important city during British rule over India but now serves primarily as an industrial area with little tourism value except at Lal Quila Palace where we saw some artifacts from Mughal era artisans who once lived there before being displaced by British colonialism during 19th century CE when many were forced into slavery abroad.

Noida

Noida is a suburb of Uttar Pradesh located on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border. It has become a hub for IT companies and a popular destination for tourists.

The city was developed as an industrial centre, but now it's home to many start-ups too, who have set up base here due to its proximity to Delhi (the national capital) while also offering cheaper rents than other cities such as Gurgaon or Noida itself has seen major growth over the past few years - this can be attributed in part to its location close enough by so many important places like New Delhi Airport or Ghaziabad city centre which makes it easy for travellers looking for accommodation options near these areas!

Panaji

Panaji is the capital of Goa. It's also a popular tourist destination and has a tropical climate. Panaji was formerly known as Panjim, which means "five wells." The city is home to many beaches including Bambolim Beach, Colva Beach and Miramar Beach (also known as Dona Paula). There are several museums in this city including the Regional Museum of Archaeology & History at Old Goa; The Naval Aviation Museum at Dabolim Airport; Fort Aguada Jail Museum & Art Gallery; Nehru Stadium which hosts sporting events such as cricket matches between India A vs South Africa A team etc.; Laxmi Narayan Temple that houses beautiful carvings on its walls depicting stories from Hindu mythology.
