Another sacred abode in Bangkok is located in the Chinese district - Sampeng. This building became known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha, because inside it is a huge Buddha statue made of real gold. For a long time, the servants of the temple did not even guess that a golden sculpture was hidden under the stone cover. But one day lightning hit the stone statue of Buddha, and the monks saw reflections of gold. It turned out that a golden Buddha was hiding under a thick layer of stone and clay.
Koh Samui
